Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all bookings made with Travana Holidays. By confirming a booking, you accept these terms on behalf of all travellers in your party.
1. Booking & confirmation
A booking is confirmed once a deposit (typically 30%) is received and we issue a written confirmation. Some lodges and gorilla permits require full payment to secure availability — these will be flagged in your itinerary.
2. Payment
Final balance is due 60 days before travel. We accept bank transfer and major credit cards. A surcharge may apply to credit card payments.
3. Cancellation
Cancellation terms vary by supplier. Indicative scale (subject to individual lodge / airline / permit policy):
- 60+ days before travel: deposit forfeited.
- 30-59 days: 50% of trip cost.
- 0-29 days: 100% of trip cost.
- Gorilla permits are non-refundable.
4. Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical evacuation is mandatory for all Travana travellers. Proof of cover must be shared before travel.
5. Force majeure
We are not liable for changes or losses caused by events beyond our control (weather, civil unrest, pandemics, government action). We will work with suppliers to minimise impact and recover refunds where possible.
6. Liability
Travana acts as an intermediary between you and the lodges, airlines, and ground operators delivering your trip. We carefully select partners but are not liable for the acts or omissions of third-party suppliers.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Nairobi.
