Day-by-Day
Day 1
Met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for a relaxed first night. Trip briefing over dinner.
Day 2
Morning flight north into the rugged, semi-arid landscapes of Samburu — home to species you won't see anywhere else: reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx.
Day 3
Morning and afternoon game drives along the Ewaso Ng'iro river. Visit a Samburu village to meet the community and learn about their pastoral traditions.
Day 4
Light-aircraft transfer to the Great Rift Valley. Afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru — pink flamingo flocks, both black and white rhino, and tree-climbing lions.
Day 5
Scenic drive south through Maasailand to Amboseli, arriving for lunch. Afternoon game drive among the iconic elephant herds with Kilimanjaro on the horizon.
Day 6
Dawn game drive when the mountain is clearest. Afternoon spent observing elephant family dynamics — Amboseli has the most studied elephant population on earth.
Day 7
Light-aircraft transfer to the Mara. After lunch, your first Mara game drive — open savannah, big cats, and (in season) Mara River crossings.
Day 8
A full day in the Mara — optional hot-air balloon at sunrise, bush breakfast, and big-cat tracking with your guide.
Day 9
Final morning drive, fly back to Nairobi, and onward connections home.
